DEAD SPACE 3 RAW INPUT MOUSE FIX
Version 1.0.0

OVERVIEW

This patch gives Dead Space 3 direct, responsive mouse input and removes the
extra third-person camera smoothing. Camera collision and normal character
turning are preserved.

The patch only changes the game while it is running. It does not replace or
modify any game files.

COMPATIBILITY

This release supports the 32-bit PC executable for Dead Space 3 version
1.0.0.1. Unsupported executables are detected and left unchanged.

INSTALLATION

1. Extract every file from this ZIP into the same writable folder. The folder
can be anywhere and does not need to be inside the game directory.
2. Start Dead Space 3 normally and wait for the main menu or gameplay.
3. Run DS3RawMouseLoader.exe once.

The console window will confirm that DS3RawMouse.dll was loaded. Repeat step 3
each time you restart the game. Do not run the loader twice during the same
game session.

USING THE PATCH

Both fixes are enabled automatically. The included settings should work as a
starting point.

To change mouse sensitivity, open ds3_raw_mouse.ini in Notepad and edit:

- ThirdPersonSensitivityX and ThirdPersonSensitivityY
- AimSensitivityX and AimSensitivityY

Higher values make the camera turn faster. The aim sensitivity is selected
while the right mouse button is held.

Hotkeys:

- F6: Reload ds3_raw_mouse.ini after editing it.
- F7: Toggle the third-person camera-smoothing fix.
- F8: Toggle raw mouse input.
- F9 / F10: Decrease / increase all sensitivities by 5% for the current
  session.

UNINSTALLATION

Close the game and delete the extracted patch files. No game files need to be
restored.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND NOTES

- If the loader cannot access the game, run it at the same privilege level as
  Dead Space 3.
- Antivirus software may inspect or warn about the loader because it loads the
patch DLL into the running game process.
- DS3RawMouse.log is created beside the patch files and contains startup or
  compatibility errors.
- The patch has been tested through over 70% of the campaign with no major
problems. A rare, brief mouse pause may occur when the game forcibly moves
the camera during a scripted moment.
- Co-op and the entire campaign have not been comprehensively tested.
