Overview

This patch removes the internal 120 FPS presentation cap, smooths supported camera, world, first-person, skeletal, and cinematic rendering, and selects the frame-rate-independent mouse-sensitivity path. It does not raise the simulation rate or alter authoritative gameplay state.

Compatibility

This release supports all the Windows x64 releases of Dishonored 2 executables that have matching layout and hook coordinates to the GOG 1.77.9.0 version documented in the repository. Other incompatible builds fail closed.

Before installing

This is an unofficial, experimental, largely AI-generated patch. Extract the archive into the directory containing Dishonored2.exe (make sure you either download the release with the bundled loader or otherwise that you already have an available ASI Loader installed in the game's root directory (like Ultimate ASI Loader)), load into the game normally, disable in-game Triple Buffering, and configure a sensible external frame-rate limit.

install instructions:
if you are not familiar with mods, download the zip with the loader, extract the zip into the game folder, launch the game, should work by itself

implemented a perfomance controller that smoothly disables features the lower the framerate gets (it's useless to interpolate under 120hz)

loosened up hard sha validation, now the mod only checks that the hook paths are present and layout is what it expects; it should work with other retail versions provided all the expected code paths are present.

v1.1.0

Release v1.1.0

switched to an ASI plugin architecture instead of raw dinput8.dll; enables compatibility with other mods (potentially, as long as hooks/code don't collide between them)

if you are not familiar with mods, download the zip with Ultimate ASI Loader, extract the zip into the game folder, launch the game, disable Triple Buffering in the settings; should work by itself
